Petroleum coke is a product obtained by the separation of light and heavy oil by distillation and the thermal cracking of heavy oil. It is the “waste” at the end of the petroleum refining process. According to different forms, it can be divided into needle coke, projectile coke or spherical coke, sponge coke and powder coke. So far, petroleum coke has not been included in the national energy sequence, and the national energy consumption statistics are not included in the energy consumption index. The replacement of heavy oil with petroleum coke as fuel is also a good way to apply new energy, and also responds to the national policy.
Needle coke, about 200 mesh, ground to powder by raymond mill, due to the lower resistance and thermal expansion coefficient of the needle coke, it is commonly used in anodes and carbon plants.
Projectile coke or spherical coke, about 200 mesh, can be used as a burning material for ceramics factories and glass factories, and can be obtained by using petroleum coke powder as a fuel instead of heavy oil. According to the calorific value of petroleum coke powder and heavy oil, tons of heavy oil is equivalent to the heat generated by 1.2 tons of petroleum coke. Kiln consumption of heavy oil is calculated at 5 tons per day.
Petroleum coke grinding powder main process
Breaking stage
The bulk petroleum coke is crushed by the crusher to the incoming fineness (15mm-50mm) that can enter the grinding mill.
Grinding stage
The small pieces of petroleum coke satisfying the grinding condition are uniformly and quantitatively fed into the grinding chamber of grinding mill through the conveying and feeding system, petroleum coke are ground into powder in the grinding chamber.
Grading stage
The petroleum coke after grinding is classified by the airflow system through the classifier. The unqualified powder is sorted by the classifier and returned to the grinding chamber for re-grinding.
Powder collection stage
The fine powder of petroleum coke conforms to the flow through the pipeline into the powder collection system, and the gas powder is separated. The finished powder is sent to the finished silo by the conveying device, and then uniformly packaged by the powder tanker or the automatic.
