At present, in terms of technology, we mainly use carbonization method, acid leaching waste residue, high-temperature calcination, aluminum extraction waste residue and other methods to produce white carbon black from coal.
The white carbon black was prepared by carbon separation method, and the optimum process conditions were obtained: n(Nag0): n (SiO,) = 1.5, and the mass concentration of sodium silicate solution was 1.07g/cm2. Additive ethanol can improve the dispersion performance of silica, PEG can improve the hydrophobic performance of silica, CTAB can improve the dispersion, improve the microporous structure of silica, and obtain products with small particle size and large DBP absorption value. The composite effect of PEG and CTAB is the best. The addition amounts were 4 and 1.11 respectively × 10,9 × 10,8×10‘mol/L。 Under this process condition, the particle size of white carbon black product is≤4.5m, and the minimum is 2.77um. The product has good dispersibility and hydrophobicity. It can be used as filler for polymer materials and has a good application prospect.
Application of silica
(1)Silica silane blend material helps to reduce the rolling resistance of tires, effectively reduce vehicle fuel consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
(2)The zinc loaded inorganic antibacterial agent and antibacterial coating of white carbon black have good antibacterial activity, and have good inhibition against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.
(3)Silica can effectively improve the road performance of SBS modified asphalt and asphalt mixture, especially in improving the storage stability of SBS modified asphalt.
